Roasted Bone Marrow

Bone marrow contains factors not found in muscle meat: glycine, minerals, fat-soluble vitamins in their natural matrix.

Ingredients

  • 2 beef marrow bones (cut lengthwise by butcher)
  • Pinch of herbs (optional)

Instructions

    Soak bones in salted water 12-24 hours (draws out blood)

    Rinse and pat dry

  3. 3

    Roast cut-side up at 450°F for 15-20 minutes

  4. 4

    Marrow should be soft and slightly bubbly

  5. 5

    Scoop out with small spoon

  6. 6

    Spread on soft bread or mix into vegetables

  7. 7

    Serve 1-2 tsp per meal
